GGUSD Workshop – Mental Wellness and How to Keep Your Kids Safe and Healthy

On Monday, January 27 Pacifica High School will host “The Power of Parents; Mental Wellness and How to Keep Your Kids Safe and Healthy,” a free workshop where parents will learn about mental wellness and what they can do to support their child(ren).

The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium at Pacifica High School (6851 Lampson, Garden Grove).

After a brief presentation, mental health experts will facilitate break-out sessions during which parents will have the opportunity to ask questions. Later in the evening, a panel of mental health professionals – a medical doctor, clinical psychologists and a school psychologist – will provide information on what parents can do to keep their children safe and healthy. There will also be an opportunity for parents to visit the booths of several agencies and learn about the services they offer within the community.

Presentations will be given in English with translation available in, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Korean. Free childcare is available for children ages two through 12. For more information, call Parent and Community Outreach at (714) 663-6084.
