Andrea Liu

Classified

Our Classified Employee of the Month is Andrea Liu who joined the district as a part-time technology assistant in 2006 working at Eisenhower Elementary School for many years before transferring to Alamitos Intermediate in 2016.  In 2018, Andrea began serving as a full time Technology Support Specialist at Alamitos.  Andrea was nominated for this recognition by several staff members at Alamitos Intermediate who are forever grateful for the support she provided the school during distance learning, as well as all that she does day in and day out. Staff shared that they would not have made it out of the pandemic without Andrea. Another staff member shared you can frequently hear Andrea being summoned on the walkie talkies at any given time to help problem solve technology issues and ensure classroom technology is in working order. She is a valuable asset to the Alamitos school community.

Raul Rodriguez

Our Certificated Employee of the month is Raul Rodriguez who has been serving as a teacher at Peters 4-6 Elementary School since 2014. Raul joined the district in 2001 serving as an Instructional Aide at Bolsa and La Quinta, and a substitute teacher before coming on to teach full time at Peters. Raul was nominated by multiple students – both who said, he was the nicest teacher they had ever had, and he made students feel happy to be at school and in his classroom. Raul’s love of teaching and heart for students can be felt by his students and is well-known among the Peters community. Raul’s colleagues appreciate his consistent support, positivity, and care for students.  Raul is a homegrown employee having attended school in GGUSD and we are thrilled that he is part of the GGUSD family.
